Janet Meiners Thaeler identifies strategies that might classify a SEO company as dealing in “black hat” — deceptive or unethical SEO practices. These techniques include keyword stuffing, or repeating “words or phrases so often that it’s unnatural to read,” and overusing bolded links. Such techniques, and companies who use them, should be avoided. While black-hat practices might get your site to the top of a page in the short term, long range it could get your site delisted from search engine rankings.
“It’s important to remember that SEO companies do not control search results and therefore can’t guarantee anything,” Thaeler writes. “Instead they can take specific actions to create the best chances of ranking well amongst the hundreds or thousands of other sites.”
The functionality extends beyond text files and includes support for HTML editing with integrated preview, spell checking, auto completion, HTML validation, templates and more. The program also include support for Topstyle Lite CSS editor, has a dual pane file commander, as well as a FTP client to upload your files. Below is a small list of features available. For a full list check out the features section.
RJ TextEd is released as FREEWARE. However, if you find the program useful I would appreciate a small donation.
Also, companies that guarantee higher rankings on competitive search keywords should set off alarms.

E-mail is one of the most useful areas for encryption – it’s nice to not have to treat e-mail as a postcard! – and also the one where it’s most important that encryption should Just Work. Enigmail offers a very usable GnuPG plugin to Thunderbird.
To use it, you’ll first need to install GPG (also probably available as a package for your distro), then the Enigmail plugin (download it from the web site, then use the Tools-Addons menu and click Install to find and install the downloaded file).
The next time you compose a message, click the OpenPGP button to be asked if you wish to configure OpenPGP support for this account identity, with various options available to set your defaults.
After this, you can manage your keys and preferences via the OpenPGP menu. Use the Key Management menus to import keys from a file or a keyserver or to generate a new public keypair. From the Preferences menu, you can set how long your passphrase should be remembered. (Be aware of the security risk here!) In the Preferences menu, choose the Expert Options (then close and reopen the menu) to get a huge range of options covering default reply options, fetching external keys, and what keyservers to use. There are supposed to be per-recipient rules available, but I couldn’t find this setting on my Mac.
Unfortunately, it’s a plugin so you can’t install it system-wide, but you can at least use it yourself and encourage your users to use it. Other mailers — most notably mutt — also have GPG usability, and the GnuPG web site links to plug-ins for several mailers.

We’ve all been on the receiving end of a call from a friendly ‘Bob from Bangalore’ offering us anything from credit cards to outsourced software development services. The bad news is that they won’t stop calling you. The good news is that the right offshore software development partner is worth their weight in gold.
So as orders are down, and machines are idle, you realize that outsourcing IT work is more and more of a necessity. Maybe you’re working with an offshore software development firm, or maybe you’re thinking about it. Or worse yet, you’ve been burned by an offshore “software sweatshop” but realize that the cost savings are too big to ignore. Obviously, there are advantages (and disadvantages) to outsourcing. Here are 7 tips to help you choose the right offshore partner:
High Value, Not Low Cost — Sounds simple, but you get what you pay for. Avoid vendors promising high level technical skills at ‘bargain basement’ rates. Look for a team that loves what they do and that compensates their employees generously. Low price does not provide value, proficient programmers who work for a company they love does. Working with outsourcing companies should be about more than cheap labor.
Do You See What I See? — If your development team doesn’t see the vision, you’re doomed; doubly so if they’re half way around the world. If you’re building a product that you plan on taking to market, you need to find a team that has a vested interest in your success. The real value in offshore development is in nurturing a team that matches your corporate culture and who understands the subtleties of your business. If they work with you close enough, they’ll help you flush.
Culture Shock — Are you focused on immediate results, organic growth and impeccable quality? Find a vendor who feels the same way. A cultural mismatch will definitely end the relationship. Ask lots of questions to unearth the underlying culture that governs how they do business. You don’t need the biggest, cheapest, or fastest partner. You just need someone who thinks like you do and who can complement your corporate culture.
Most Vendors are the Same — Outsourcing is more about trust and reliability than cheap technical skills. Companies that flaunt their technical competency are no different than their competitors. Look for business acumen and not tech skills. Throw them a project and see how well they meet incremental milestones, the types of questions they ask, and how responsive they are.
Fanatical Commitment — Technical skills are easy to find, reliable people are not. Most offshore vendors don’t understand the concept of a deadline. As a business, you can work around technical limitations, but you can’t work around people who aren’t committed. Find someone who does what they say. Unexpected problems are bound to occur, but at the moment of truth your vendor should be mature enough to roll with the punches and get the job done. Adopting agile development practices like scrum is critical here.
Ask Tough Questions — People who are good at what they do aren’t afraid to ask tough questions. Questions show that they know who they are and what kinds of problems they can solve. In an industry saturated with ‘yes men’, an inquisitive partner forces you to re-think how you do business. There are a lot of things that can go wrong, so make sure you look before you leap.

Staying abreast of who’s who in the United Kingdom Search Engine Optimisation world is easier than one would think, and doesn’t require hours of research either. With topseos conducting their extensive research and background checks, you can rest assured that the results topseos has provided you are an exemplary representation of the best SEO companies in the UK.
A stringent process is undertaken to separate the mice from the men, ensuring that the final results offered will unveil who has come to the forefront as the leaders in their field of expertise. Numerous questions are asked and evaluation processes are set in place for the eventual outcome that will determine whether or not a particular company has what it takes to be listed among those ranked in the top 10.
April 2009 has heralded the following 10 companies as the Top Organic SEO Companies in the United Kingdom through topseos:
1. SEO Consult
2. Weblinx Limited
3. Just Search
4. High Position Limited
5. Smart Traffic Ltd.
6. Bullseye Media
7. SEO Positive
8. Bigmouthmedia
9. Greenlight
10. Bluechilli Ltd.
As much as such recognition fills the listed companies with pride and high esteem, it also provides those seeking the services of SEO with an excellent starting point. With so many chance takers and con artists making money for themselves on the web, it is difficult to know who to trust.

USB Protection Via Encryption Software: File Encryption vs. Disk Encryption
When one talks of USB protection and refers to storage devices, it could be a reference to data security for media like CDs or something more robust–like external hard drives or USB flashdrives.
If full disk encryption is used, all the contents on the device are protected. This is an ideal data security scheme for external drives and USB memory sticks. Just having a file saved on that encrypted device means the data is protected. The downside is that, if you copy a file off that encrypted device to something else (say, a friend’s computer with no encryption), that file won’t be protected anymore. Likewise if you e-mail it or upload to a community site.
Also, it goes without saying, if an unauthorized person has access to that disk, he’ll have access to everything on that disk. So, very important that you use a strong password and keep it secret.
If file encryption is used, only the encrypted files are protected from data breaches. The benefit is that, no matter where it’s copied to, mailed to, or uploaded to, that file will remain encrypted and, hence, safe.
File encryption would usually be used on backup tapes, email attachments, CDs or DVDs, although it certainly can be used to secure individual documents saved on USB disks or internal hard drives–it’s just a matter of copying it over.
Full disk encryption is generally used for securing large capacity storage systems like hdd drives (external as well as internal) and USB memory sticks.

Timothy J. Wagner, a grocery store owner who depends heavily on advertising through bulk mail, has a problem with the U. S. Postal Service. Wagner, who owns the Super Saver market on Broadway, said he dropped off slingers advertising a Valentine’s Day sale at the Buffalo bulk mail center in late January.
But many of the 250 customers he was targeting didn’t receive the slingers until late February — well after the Feb. 14 holiday.
“All of the customers I’m mailing to live no more than three or four miles from the William Street [mail processing center]. It shouldn’t take more than two or three days to get to them,” Wagner said. “I’ve had situations where it took my mail six, seven and eight days to reach customers, and one time, it took a month.”
Wagner believes that his problem is indicative of why the Postal Service lost $2.8 billion last year and — according to its postmaster general — faces an unprecedented financial crisis.
And according to some local Postal Service employees, Wagner is not the only businessman in the region who has had problems with bulk mail deliveries.
In February, the National Association of Letter Carriers contacted Rep. Louise M. Slaughter, D-Fairport, saying bulk mail deliveries in the region are frequently backed up because of staffing shortages in the Postal Service. A Slaughter staff member has been discussing the issue with postal officials, including Kimberly Peters, Western New York district manager, the top local official of the Postal Service.
Slaughter confirmed those discussions and said her office is closely monitoring the situation involving bulk mail.
For 14 years, Wagner said, he was generally very satisfied with the job the Postal Service did in delivering his slingers at low, bulk mail rates to customers on the city’s East Side.
But in recent months, Wagner said, delays in delivery of the slingers have been costing him business.
Some people refer to bulk mail as “junk mail,” but to Wagner, it’s the lifeblood of a business that employs 17 people, including seven full-timers.
Many of his customers are senior citizens and people who receive welfare benefits. He does most of his advertising through slingers that are delivered to customers’ homes by the Postal Service.
Wagner, who also runs a home delivery business for food and laundry at the Broadway store, said many of his customers get welfare checks in the early part of each month.
“I try to get my slingers to them on the first of the month. Every day past that, I lose sales,” the businessman said. “My business depends on the post office getting these out to my customers on time.”
In the view of a postal union leader, inefficient handling of bulk mail is one reason why the Postal Service lost $2.8 billion last year and is facing even bigger losses this year. Postmaster General John E. Potter recently asked Congress for its permission to cut mail deliveries from six to five days a week to keep the 234-year-old service from becoming insolvent.
“There is a serious problem with bulk mail — and bulk mailers are our bread-and-butter customers,” said Robert J. McLennan, president of the Buffalo branch of the letter carriers union. “We’ve had a few situations where our carriers were given a slinger advertising sales at a store, but our carrier didn’t receive the slinger until the sale was already over.”
Letter carriers blame management for the problem, saying some post office managers have tried to cut overtime costs by delaying bulk mail deliveries until a slow day.
A Postal Service spokeswoman said managers are trying to prevent any further delays in Wagner’s deliveries.
“This is not treated lightly,” said Karen L. Mazurkiewicz, Western New York communication coordinator for the Postal Service. “What we have found is that his mail piece often falls through a gap. Though it meets automation compatibility requirements, these pieces do not always get sorted on automation machines because of their design.”
Wagner’s mail sometimes has to be sorted by hand — rather than by machine — and manual sorting is “labor intensive and susceptible to workload strains,” Mazurkiewicz said.
She said postal officials are determined to work further with Wagner until his problem is corrected.
Generally, the Postal Service tries to deliver local bulk mail— which it refers to as standard mail — within three days of receiving it.
But three days “is a standard, not a guarantee,” Mazurkiewicz said.
The Postal Service delivers about 4.4 million pieces of first-class and standard mail each day in Western and Central New York, and first-class mail gets top priority, she added.
“We do experience occasional complaints of bulk mail delays, especially around peak volume periods,” Mazurkiewicz said. “[It is] not a regular occurrence.”
Wagner said he is willing to give postal officials one more chance before trying to find another way to reach his customers. He said he currently spends $10,000 to $15,000 annually on bulk mail.
Since he first noticed the delays last August, Wagner estimated, he has talked to various postal officials “at least 80 times,” seeking a solution.
“One thing I want to say is that their customer service people are always very nice to me,” Wagner said. “But they haven’t corrected the problem.”
“I think the Postal Service is in trouble because of the way they deal with people like me,” Wagner added. “In my case, they have not done what it takes to make things right for the customer.”

Microsoft has sold more than 90 percent of its advertising inventory across its Web, mobile, and video game businesses to the Discovery Channel for a one-day campaign to promote the television series “Deadliest Catch,” the companies said on Monday.
Discovery Communications, owner of the Discovery Channel, did not disclose how much it will spend on the campaign running Tuesday but said that the show’s full online-marketing budget would be devoted to the deal.
The advertising campaign will span MSN, MSN Mobile, Windows Live Hotmail, Microsoft Live Search, and Xbox Live, and comes as Microsoft remains in a heated battle with Google and Yahoo for increasingly scarce advertising dollars.
When the campaign launches on Tuesday–which marks the premiere of the fifth season of the “Deadliest Catch,” about crab fishing off the coast of Alaska–it will involve a variety of Microsoft-developed video, mobile, and interactive media.
For instance, Discovery will run interactive ads on the MSN home page, and will allow users to set DVR reminders or text and e-mail alerts. In another example, Discovery will run a “Deadliest Catch” sweepstakes on Xbox Live in which the audience can win award points that may be used to buy games.

a few days,I found a technoligy—SPIE,now,I’ll talking about Proven system

MULTIDOS® L with hygienic design The MULTIDOS® L is now available with a hygienic design which satisfies the most stringent hygienic requirements of the food industry and offers numerous benefits. For example, the weighing module is incredibly easy to dismantle and assemble, saving time and effort for frequent cleaning intervals and wet cleaning.

Hygienic design for MULTIDOS® L Weighfeeder The MULTIDOS® L Weighfeeder from Schenck Process delivers outstanding results in gravimetric feeding tasks or when recording mass flows of special products. If the installation height is very low and transport distances need to be covered, it’s certainly the right system: economic, space-saving and virtually maintenance-free. MULTIDOS® L is available both as an open design and with a dustproof housing variant. It is either supplied in its standard industrial design or special designs for a host of different industry sectors. This weighfeeder has an individual, customised solution for any application. All relevant parts for cleaning are secured with easy to use plug connections. The casing can be taken off and the mechanism removed to the side. This allows the MULTIDOS® L to be dismantled and re-assembled in just seven minutes without any hitches. The overriding features of the MULTIDOS® L Weighfeeder are its versatility and extreme flexibility. The standardised modular system with a band width of 300 to 1,200mm and wheel bases of between 1,000 and 3,500mm is available in 100% stainless steel. Its maximum output is 170m³/hr. Optimum adaptation Whether used in the food, plastics or chemical industry, MULTIDOS® L can be perfectly adapted to a large number of applications. The weigh module is used as a measuring and feeding system. By integrating weighing technology from Schenck Process, the system precisely handles a wide variety of products such as cocoa powder, cereals, salt or freeze-dried vegetables.

The open variant of the MULTIDOS® L model is also used for special applications in the meat-processing industry, for example when making mincemeat or sausages, i.e. those processes requiring the most stringent of hygiene standards.

This is the first car commercial I’ve seen a long while that was actually enjoyable to watch.
ASIMO and his Earth-loving robot compadres pulling the strings at Honda have once again managed to find a way to save us humans from ourselves. All it took was an affordable hybrid, apparently, and Honda is showing off its new Insight by turning those LED headlights into one gigantic animated Lite-Brite in an upcoming commercial. The spot’s called “Let it Shine,” and the video’s after the break. Hit up the read link for the making of video and a detailed carbon footprint breakdown of the shoot — you know you want to.
The last one that I liked was one in which all the parts of the car were placed like an intricate string of dominoes… I don’t remember the company or even the point of the commercial, but it was just such an awesome commercial.
Wow, I think I need one of these – a field of networked cars that is…

SPIE is the International Optics and Photonics Society, founded in 1955 to advance light-based technologies.
Arthurs spoke as a member of a three-person panel before the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, on the impact of industrial policy on U.S. companies, workers, and the economy. The commission reports to Congress annually on the bilateral trade and economic relationship between the United States and the People’s Republic of China.
Arthurs recommended that the government expand funding for the Technology Innovation Program (TIP) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as well as the set-aside amounts for the Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR) within science agencies. “The TIP Program at NIST is a small step in the right direction, but its funding is totally inadequate,” he said. “The excellent SBIR program should be expanded and the evaluation process should place more emphasis on local job creation.”
the Society advances emerging technologies through interdisciplinary information exchange, continuing education, publications, patent precedent, and career and professional growth.
